In October 2018 I had tried to get this car to be part of the BMW Driver's Club Melbourne display at Motorclassica. Sadly that was not to be as it was partially dismantled awaiting some suspension parts.
In November I saw that it was for sale.
After a bit of time trying to convince myself I did not want to buy it, I agreed to do so on Dec 6 2018.
The car was transported from Sydney, finally arriving just before Christmas.
I gave it a quick check over to see if it was ready for a roadworthy inspection. It was not but I took it in anyway.
I knew I needed a few parts from Germany, so I figured I may as well find out what other parts I may need before paying for freight.
